Amy Atkinson is the host of the Inspire West Michigan Podcast and a seasoned marketing strategist with more than 35 years of experience helping organizations grow, adapt, and thrive. As the owner of Acorn Marketing, Amy has built her career on transforming complex business challenges into clear, results-driven strategies that deliver measurable impact.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Amy brings deep expertise in integrated marketing communications, lead generation, brand strategy, and customer relationship management. She is known for her strategic vision, collaborative leadership style, and ability to craft compelling messaging that connects with audiences in meaningful ways.
In October 2024, Amy took the entrepreneurial leap into ownership of the agency she had helped lead for nearly three decades. After serving as president since 2011, she guided the company, formerly RCP Marketing, through a transformative rebrand to Acorn Marketing in January 2025 and relocated its headquarters to downtown Grand Haven — signaling both growth and renewed energy for the future. Having navigated the risks, responsibility, and opportunity that come with business ownership, Amy brings firsthand perspective to her conversations on Inspire West Michigan. She understands the weight of leadership decisions, the courage required to evolve, and the long-term commitment it takes to build something meaningful and sustainable.
